Hi Desiree,
Here is a great article about it: https://www.yorkiepassion.com/signs-yorkshire-terrier-ready-breed/
It is important that you record the dates so that you know when the new cycle comes up.
On average Yorkies have two cycles per year. The length of the cycle varies a lot. Usually it last between 11 and 23 days.
Thanks
Mary
I have a Yorkie, 1 year old that I got as a puppy. Within the last 2 weeks he has growled and snapped at 3 times. He is crate trained and goes in when I tell him too and many times by himself, it’s his bed and he loves it but when I go to close the door he growls and snaps at me. I have spend so much time training him and never expected this out of him. I scold him buy telling him no in a loud voice then we leave. The only time he goes in the crate is when we leave the house. I am the alpha in the home and he knows it. Otherwise he is a happy, health and a loved dog. How can I get him to stop this.
Tell me what to look for in a heat cycle
