Pinterest is a relatively new pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, and hobbies. Users can browse other pinboards for images, “re-pin” images to their own pinboards, or “like” photos. This is a great resource for finding adorable pictures of Yorkies – just type in Yorkshire Terrier in the search.

Flickr is an online photo-sharing website where you can upload your favorite pictures to share with others who can then comment (if you have your “photostream” set to “public”). A photostream is simply just what Flickr calls your group of pictures. You can find people on Flickr and view their pictures or you can look for specific pictures of interest, such as pictures of Yorkies by using the search feature. It is free to join Flickr, however, you can only hold up to 200 photos or 100 MB each month on a free account. If you require more space, you will have to upgrade to a paid account.

YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 and owned by Google since late 2006, where users can create their own YouTube channel, upload, view, and share videos. There are many pictures and videos of Yorkies on YouTube and here you can find videos about just about anything Yorkie, from tricks to grooming.

iStock Photo was originally a free online stock imagery website, founded by Bruce Livingstone, in May 2000. Within a year it began charging money for images and has since grown into one of the largest online, royalty-free, international, microstock photography provider businesses.  iStock photo is an easy-to-use resource where you can search for pictures of Yorkies or any other pictures you may need for any purpose, such as for a website banner or newsletter. Once you have purchased an image you can use it in unlimited applications and use it for your next project using a photo editor.

Getty Images is another online royalty-free website offering users “a world of options” through purchasing royalty-free photos, vectors, and illustrations that cover a range of popular themes – from business to family – including both professionally shot and user-generated options. Once you have purchased an image, you can enjoy unlimited use, which means that you can use it in any application, for as long as you like, in as many different projects as you like. You can easily search and find endless selections of pictures of Yorkies in many poses and situations.

Instagram is an online social networking, photo, and video-sharing service created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in 2010, that allows users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters, and then share the results on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, and Tumblr. The Instagram service has over 100 million active users and once you have an account, you simply log in and search for pictures of Yorkies.

Facebook is an online social networking service founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and several of his fellow Harvard University college roommates it was originally designed, like the book given to students by some American university administrations at the beginning of the academic year, to help students get to know one another. Now, individuals 13 years of age and older, from all over the world can register and share pictures of Yorkies or any other topics that may be of current interest.

Yorkie Talk is a free Yorkshire Terrier online Forum and community where members can post topics, read over 2,000 posted discussions, communicate privately with other members, respond to polls, upload content, or chat with over 35,000 members. As well members have access to more than 15,000 pictures of Yorkies in the Yorkie Talk photo gallery.

Tumblr is a popular social networking and micro-blogging website founded by David Karp in 2007 and acquired by Yahoo in 2013 for $1.1 billion. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog where users can then follow other users’ blogs, as well as make their blogs private. The easy-to-use dashboard allows a user to upload text posts, pictures of Yorkies, videos, quotes, or links to their blog with a click of a button.
